3.30pm, off to Bujumbura, Burundi. Not where I was planning to go. But the plane changed a couple of weeks ago to stop here.

It was interesting – similar scenery to Rwanda, lots of farmland, scattered villages and a long river. Great views over Lake Tanganyika, which is also shared with Congo and Tanzania.

The airport terminal was like a space ship!

I wish I could have stayed – that would have been cool. But instead, I just spent an hour.

Then onwards to Addis Ababa. Ethiopia.
