The island is small. There are only a few ‘sights’ and it seems that every tourist was out today, all at the same few places.

A bumpy ride, through the desert. To find donkeys and volcanos.

Through small fishing towns

Volcanic rocks – where the light shines through to give a ‘blue eye’

And Espargos, the capital city

Despite no sharks in the ocean, they do use the shallows as a pupping ground – and baby lemon sharks are here!

The island of Sal, is named after the large amounts of salt here. Which it subsequently turned into an industry. And it seems that charging tourists EUR5 each to look at the salt and swim in salty water is probably more lucrative.
